Outdoor Trampolines

Outdoor Trampolines The Benefits

Outdoor trampolines are different from standard indoor or mini trampolines, generally because they are designed for younger children to be used in a garden (Yard) or outdoor area. Trampolines that are made for outdoor or garden use typically have the following features over mini trampolines:

  • Bigger in size - most outdoor trampolines come in 8ft, 10ft, 12ft, 14ft, 15ft, 16ft and even 17ft +
  • Made for weathering - typical outdoor trampolines have rust proofing on the metal frame (known as galvanising) this helps the trampoline protect against rust. The trampoline padding is hard wearing, which means the colour and the strength of the fabrics and padding will take longer to wear & fade.
  • Can be covered -  most outdoor trampoline suppliers give the option of a trampoline cover (of course this will cost extra), personally i believe if you plan to keep the trampoline outdoors during the winter months I suggest purchasing a cover for it, this will prolong the life of the trampoline.
  • Optional parts – most outdoor trampolines can have additional parts added, such as trampoline safety enclosures (great for keeping young children safe), ladders, spare springs, replacement padding and more.
  • Better exercise – some say that the bigger the trampoline the more exercise movements you can make on it. When I say movements I do not mean dangerous tricks that will injure one self, I mean better movement to exercise. My theory is that you have more fun bouncing on a big trampoline that you will use it more than a mini one therefore are more likely to lose weight and improve your cardio vascular goals
